Expert witness in arbitration case on the pricing of demand response

Eskom had procured load interruptibility services from EB Steam, which was supplying steam as a utility service to South African industries by utilising duel-fired electric and HFO boilers. Eskom and EB Steam developed a dispute about the pricing and other conditions applicable to their agreements and entered into arbitration in terms of their agreement.

Project Description

Grové was appointed as an sector expert to the EB Steam team. He advised on a wide range of power sector economic and regulatory issues that arose during the arbitration and was also responsible for drafting expert reports that would be filed as part of the process.
