The case for the Mozambican North to South Gas Pipeline (Gasnosu) Project

The client is involved in the gas supply sector in Mozambique and was conducting a pre-feasibility study into the possiblity of constructing a gas transmission line from the recently discovered gas fields in the Rovuma basin to South Mozambique and South Africa. The Mozambican government is also keenly interested in pursuing further opportunities to utilise the supply of affordable gas from these fields to drive economic development and diversification across the country.

Project Description

Meridian collaborated with Econex to investigate the costs and benefits that the Gasnosu pipeline (which included gas-to-power projects), would hold for the economies of South Africa and Mozambique, and the southern African region as a whole.
