Adam Roff

An engineer and applied mathematician by training, Adam has over 25 years’ experience solving complex analytical problems in the realm of investments and infrastructure. His ability to create innovative models, methodologies and financial tools has underpinned the success of projects in the asset management, insurance, energy and engineering disciplines. His rigorous approach informs the integrity of Meridian’s modelling capability.

Adam has led several studies on the South African power system investigating the costs of decarbonisation, achieving net zero, the role of gas to power, and the role of renewables in ending load shedding. He has substantial regulatory experience and has acted as an economic expert witness in a variety of litigation matters in the electricity and liquid fuels sectors.

Adam holds an M.S. in Applied Mechanics from Caltech, and a B.Sc (Eng) from the University of Cape Town.
