At an EE Business Intelligence webinar on Policy and Planning Considerations for Energy and Electricity in South Africa to 2050, our Managing Director, Dr Grove Steyn, presented Meridian Economics’ analysis of the version of the draft Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) 2025 that was under consideration at NEDLAC. During the presentation Dr Steyn provided a critique of the draft IRP, highlighting key planning challenges and implications for South Africa’s energy future.
